Hi,
For the past few months I have been ill though now I’m extremely pleased to announce that the problems have subsided and I am at last well and on the mend. No need to go into all the gory details….
OK, so what’s been happenning? Well, there are a couple of Norman units that are in need of need decent pics being taken before they hit the website along with a bunch of other stuff that may or may not make it onto the site. I’ve been messing around with winter effect type uniforms on some Late War WWII Wermacht chaps that should see the light of day sometime soon as well.
Other projects? With the launch of Flashing Blade’s new Crusader line the question of finding the right shields (and indeed models!) for the Battle of Arsuf game that is still scheduled for Claymore ‘09. I recently recieved an e-mail from Mark Rowsell of Flashing Blade and the next packs of mini’s will be Crusaders with spears followed by Crossbows so I’m looking forward to putting in an order very soon. These mini’s will certainly add a much more realistic perspective to our Arsuf game. Even though it will require quite a lot more painting I’m very excited about this range.
There will be an increase in the number of English (and possibly French ans Scots) Late Medieval HYW types on these pages soon as I’m going to be painting up some stuff that may make it into the Warhammer Historical WAB HYW supplement. I’m planning on doing my usual vignette style basing for soldiers involved in the following battles; Henry V army at Agincourt, Bedfords army at Verneuil and Clarence’s untimely demise at Bauge. Anyone that knows me well will be able to tell you that I’m deeply interested in Late Medieval history so this is a project that is very much a labour of love.
Also, I’ve got some stuff from the Beast that will be making it’s way into publication at some point in the future, but that’s all I’m going to say on that one. Can’t really elaborate anyway……….
Well, that’s it for now. The Gallery will be updated very soon so please drop in again and have a look.
Cheers,
Darrell.
